Monte Rudo/Rautkofel, Tre Cime/Drei Zinnen Nature Reserve, South Tyrol, Sesto Dolomites, Italy, Europe.
Monte Rudo/Rautkofel rises to 2826 meters in the Haunold/Rocca dei Barranci subgroup of the Sesto Dolomites (Dolomiti di Sesto, or Sexten/Sextner/Sextener Dolomiten), in Parco naturale Tre Cime/Naturpark Drei Zinnen, in the Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol (South Tyrol) region of Italy, Europe. Trails are well marked with signs here in Veneto looking into the Nature Reserve in the South Tyrol region of Italy, albeit complicated by multiple languages and boundaries decided after World War I. From the Rifugio Auronzo toll road, hike for great views such as this around Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Italian for "Three Peaks of Lavaredo," called Drei Zinnen or "Three Merlons" in German). The Dolomites are part of the Southern Limestone Alps. UNESCO honored the Dolomites as a natural World Heritage Site in 2009.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
