Nelson River is a peaceful retreat in Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Tasmania, Australia. Drive on the Lyell Highway (A10) between Queenstown and Derwent Bridge, and walk 20 minutes on boardwalks round trip. The ancient rainforest plant species on Tasmania have much in common with the rainforests of New Zealand and South America, which were once connected with Australia in the ancient supercontinent, Gondwana.
