Ballerina Spire, Kodachrome Basin State Park, Utah, USA. Geologists believe that ancient hot springs and geysers in the park area filled with sediment and solidified. Through time, the Entrada sandstone surrounding the solidified geysers eroded, leaving large sand pipes. 67 sand pipes rise in the park from 2 to 52 meters high. You can drive to the park from the north via a paved road from Cannonville and from the south via Cottonwood Canyon, Road 400, a dirt road from the Page, Arizona area, passable for most vehicles in dry conditions.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
