On Jamestown Island in 1906, the present Memorial Church was built on the cobblestone foundations of the older 1617 church and brick foundations of the 1639 church, now visible through glass flooring. Within this 1617 structure, the first representative legislative assembly in America convened from July 30 to August 4, 1619. Dedicated in 1917, Historic Jamestowne's Memorial Church is now part of Jamestown National Historic Site, and is owned by the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
